Imaginal Techniques #3

0:00 / —:—

Fall In Love With Your Ideal / Attention and Relaxation / Imaginal Shortcuts / The World Of Senses

Why falling in love with what you desire is the key to realizing imagination creates reality.

The importance of being relaxed and attentive when imagining, but not freaking out about "how you need to be" because it's not that hard and you'll get it.

Want a shortcut to your best life? You got it.

Don't let the world, other people and external circumstances interfere with what you know to be true. Your imagination creates reality and your senses perceive the after effect of that truth.

This is synchronicity. This is synchronicity. This is synchronicity. This is synchronicity. This is synchronicity. This is synchronicity. (upbeat music) Welcome to synchronicity. Are we going for the fourth episode of the week? I promise you, this is not turning into a daily, but I know a lot of people have had questions. The amount of feedback I've gotten, all positive. Thank you for the last two episodes relating to imagination have been incredible. It's awesome. I can't say I didn't expect it, but it's still really awesome to see it and the things people are asking for, good for you guys. Like good for you guys.

You're asking for the coolest shit and you're gonna get that stuff because you get it. If you're reaching out doing it, that's the first step to acknowledging that you think this principle is real. That's kind of a little secret trick and you're gonna do it for yourself. It's one thing to think that I'm gonna do this for you and I can and I will, but you're gonna do it for yourself too, which is super awesome. So I had a whole bunch of topics planned for this one that were coming up based on questions people had, both in real life and my personal life and in emails and feedback. And it's Noah@sinkpodcast.com.

If you have any questions about this stuff, I wanted to cover a few things related to this practice. So the first thing is this, the operative mechanism here. The thing that supports everything is love. I've spoken about it briefly before. It's very important to fully understand this concept because when you get freaked out and scared, it's easier to recognize that that's something in you trying to stop you, usually your rational mind or analytical mind from accepting this is reality rather than some actually scary thing that's gonna hurt you or be bad for you or mean some bad thing. So it's really good to just remind yourself that like, it's all good.

It's all good, trust me. It's all good. I really, I do not, I wouldn't say it if I didn't know it. I'm sure you can sense that at this point. So the reason I bring up love is if you're really having a hard time kind of locking in your mat, let's say you're really good at visualizing, right? And I know, I think this is a law of attraction thing. I don't know the difference. I didn't read it. But I know, I spoke about this briefly, but as I get it, the law of attraction and the secret stuff kind of works as it pulls things in external reality towards you. This is fundamentally different because it presupposes that imagination, your internal sense of I am, precedes materiality and that's very different.

It's kind of a flipped thing. But if you're having trouble, let's say you're visualizing, you think you're doing this right and it's just not going the way you want it to, what can you do to kind of lock it in? What you really need to do is you need to constantly be falling in love with the thing you wanna be. And you can, you notice I say the thing you wanna be. You can use this for material stuff. But inevitably what you're gonna find is you wanna be the person you're meant to be. So fall in love with that. Fall in love with that person. You know who it is, find that person and basically construct the image.

Do the scene that implies you're already that person after you've become that person. Someone maybe says to you, wow, you're really doing great. You go, I feel great, something like that. But it implies and embeds everything you know that you want yourself to be. And fall in love with that, right? That's the easiest thing to do. If you've ever fallen in love, you know, what you feel is a magical sense of being. You can feel that all the time. That's the trick. But anyway, let's say still you need another technique that you wanna do. So I call this the imaginal shortcut. I picked this up from the OG Neville Goddard.

If this dude really honestly, he knows so much and he taught so much in his lectures out there. I'm slowly putting them back up on mine pod networks, YouTube channel, so you can find that there. But this is a great technique. So a lot of people were asking like, how do I deal and I even did a topic on this? How do you deal with things like anxiety, stress, fear, doubt? Let's say you're imagining something and you've stabilized it and it's happening and it's showing but it keeps kind of coming back after shocks or little tremors of your past self that's in the past and it's trying to knock like a ghost or something.

You can do a few things. You can do what I recommended in the last episode but I actually think that's not the best thing to do at this point, which is just imagine yourself not in that state. But an even cooler thing to do is imagine that every time you have one of those thoughts you essentially replace it with a better state, right? So if fear comes up you replace it with joy. You know, if doubt and depression come up you replace it with something like happiness. Now the key one that I really like and Goddard points this out to is ecstasy, right? If you can find that place of ecstatic joy the reason this is good and this also deals with the subject of like a lot of people are like, well, I have a lot of things I wanna, you know, I desire.

I have a lot of things I want done. I want this, I want that, I want this thing. I want that part of all this stuff. That's a lot of stuff to remember. You can get difficult, you can trip yourself up, you can go like, I'm doing this right, whatever it is. Here's what you do. Do that ecstasy thing. Just imagine yourself in that ecstatic state maybe with a phrase like, oh, wow, isn't this wonderful? Thank you, thank you, thank you. Something like that. And what will happen is if you're in an ecstatic state, now you might not wanna stay there forever and get pretty trippy. But if you're in that state, guess what's not happening?

You're not depressed. You're not afraid. You're not in fear. You're not doubting because you're ecstatic. That's literally it's like won't let those states near it. It's like a magnet that repels those states. So you can root for that root for it. You can imagine that. And essentially all of the things that you wanted to have happened, they're still there. Those little or big or medium things, they're still there. But now you're in this wonderful state where you're really in flow, which is what a lot of people do. They first start with either a relationship thing or maybe money or a material thing.

And then they quickly realized like, oh, I can really use this for like meta stuff. I had someone ask like, let me just be in flow state. Let me just get the healing messages I'm supposed to be getting. That's getting it. That's really getting it. And then what eventually happens, and we'll get into this in the later episode, is we talk about this experience with Goddard called The Promise. And this is the realization that not only is this an operative mechanism of our imagination working, but it's also the realization that we're God, right? That sense of I am in our skull is God. It is legitimately, whatever you wanna call that, source energy, the thing that sustains this material world, that loving, unconditional, generous kind, whatever it is.

That's what it is, and we are that, but we're also our individual selves too. So don't worry that you're gonna like, you know, (laughs) achieve, I hear the people who take the toad medicine, and like it inevitably goes one of two ways. It goes one, unity consciousness, which overwhelms them, or two, like deep hellish landscapes, which overwhelms them. So don't worry about that if you're doing imagining unless you desire that state, and then you can experience that if you want. But you don't have to worry about like getting in this non dual duality trap. There's our subtleties to it. A lot of it has to do with this idea of kind of higher dimensional selves.

This stuff starts to sound so new, AG, and so hippie-ish. It makes me throw up a little bit in my mouth, but here's the thing. (laughs) I keep using it, and keep understanding it like quickly, and then I use it, I'm like, "Oh shit, this actually works." So now I'm a weirdo. Just wait for my first book about chakras, and fucking God knows what, but I got time to write a book. I'm not writing a book anytime soon. So the Imagineer shortcut really does work. If you root, am I gonna keep saying root? I don't know, root, tear for it, I don't know. Dig down, I don't know what I'm trying to say. But if you imagine that state of ecstasy, you will achieve all those smaller and medium and large goals that you may be really struggling to manage all of them, and that's something I was doing.

So I write down all of my imaginal acts before I go to sleep. Tonight I am going to maybe do shorthand for those, which I've moved to anyway, and then just do this ecstasy thing, and then probably in the future, I'll just do the ecstasy thing and have all those little things happen, right? So, and you can still do the little things. There's no rules here. Do what you want, follow your desires, follow your heart. That's what you're supposed to do. There's two other concepts I wanna get into. When you're going into these imaginal states and kind of acts and creating them, you wanna be attentive, but not tense, right?

So you wanna be able to relax into this, but not too loose and too relaxed. And this is, I don't wanna get too technical with this 'cause I think it can kind of like fuck people up if they think it's like this perfect state of holy balance. It's not. You do it every night before you go to sleep. If you just catch it a few times and you practice it, you'll be like, oh, this is it, awesome, here I am. Now I'll do that thing, and then boom. And one of the good signs that you've really kind of walked in to a true knowing and shift in your consciousness is you won't feel like you have to do the thing anymore.

Even if you keep wanting to do it just 'cause you're like, oh, I just wanna double check this. You'll notice it's a little bit different. It doesn't feel, it kind of feels like the itch has been scratched a little bit. And that's a really good sign in. I mean, it's probably close to unfolding in the world. So that's very helpful too, just that kind of balance, that loose, yes, you wanna be paying attention and creating the imaginal act, but you don't wanna be totally like, just like drifting immediately into sleep. And you certainly don't wanna be too tense. If anything, I'd say be more relaxed than tense.

That's just my approach, but that's me. And then the last thing is the world of senses, right? This is our external reality, waking life, consensus reality, whatever you wanna refer it to, as, and you know, this is again going to deny what you imagined, right? The things don't just materialize yet. When we get there, that's gonna be really fucking cool. They come close to materializing, you know, people can appear and things can appear very quickly after you do it, but it's not like magically in front of your face yet. So until then, you have to be diligent to not let the world of your senses kind of deny what you know to be true if you feel that state and you're just trying to keep going back.

So just recognize your senses are there to perceive and experience and enjoy, but not necessarily to be the final arbiter of what's true and what's not true. That's a very useful thing. Again, the mantra that I use is, this is the dream referring to this life right here. We're talking in and my imagination is reality. That really seems to work because you get it. When you get it, you get it and it works. So that's important. The world of your senses is gonna deny it and let's incorporate with the world of, let's talk about friends and family and other people and let's talk about one other principle.

Do you share what you're doing with people? So I've experienced this in two different ways. 15 years ago when I had an experience that was essentially this, but I didn't know what the fuck was going on, I wouldn't shut up about what I was experiencing, but I had a very poor ability to communicate what I was experiencing, what I thought was going on. It was just overwhelming, to say the least. This time around, it's a long time, 15 years, I've put together a lot of different experiences, retroactively unpack things. And it's stable, right? I understand now what's happening. So that gives me this kind of, I'm very grateful for this direct experience of knowing this is an active and operative principle.

So I have a little bit more boldness and confidence in sharing this because if someone I say this to doesn't believe me, and this happened recently, someone who I thought was very open-minded, I was telling about this and I don't wanna say it was being pejorative, but with certainly, you know, he was like, "Are you on drugs?" I'm like, "No, not right now." But it was definitely like, I was surprised that this person was a little, I don't wanna say jaded, but doubtful and skeptical. In the past, if you're talking about this, let's say you're just finding out about it and you say this to someone and then their reaction shows you something, it says, you know, like, "I don't know about that, sounds pretty crazy."

That can collapse your world and your belief back into that original state. You can keep trying again, and if you imagine it accurate, it'll still happen, it might just delay it. But that's very common. So again, I referred those as external threshold guardians, which again, everything out in the world that you see, including other people, are just projections of you. It's trying to teach you something. So the person I just referred to who had a little bit of doubt, that's an aspect of me saying, "Oh, you sure about that, buddy?" And I say, "Oh yeah, no, I'm definitely sure about it." Like, I understand you might doubt this, but I'm very sure of it.

So it gives you an opportunity to express what you really believe, rather than collapsing back into and allowing someone else to dictate what your reality is. So I bring that up because I would include that in the world of our senses, right? Any person in this world is going to be perceived with our senses, and our senses are going, "They're okay, they're good." We get to see beautiful stuff with them, we get to hear beautiful stuff, taste, smell, touch. That's great, I love the senses. But in terms of like, trying to understand what is going on, it's like, if you were looking at a person, and you wanted to know who they were, and you looked at like a quarter inch of skin under their knee, and you're like, "This is who the person is."

And you couldn't have shit about them, that's kind of what the senses are like. They're useful, and we get to, it's wonderful, that little quarter inch of skin behind the knees, the sensitive, it's like it's a rogynous zone, who knows. But I'm saying it's limited tools. So I think that's all we're gonna cover in this one. If you have any questions, if you want me to imagine something, go to the website, sinkpodcast.com. Do the imagine form, or email me at Noah@sinkpodcast.com. I'm gonna keep up with these until I can't. I know there will be a point I absolutely can't, because they're coming in hot and heavy, and it's been like, I don't know, four days, five days, hasn't been that long.

So I appreciate it, keep doing it, guys. Listen, here's the truth. If you're hearing me talk about this at this point, I can make two guarantees. One, this is true, 100%. Two, it will happen to you. You will experience it, I promise you. In this life, two, right? You're gonna make it. You're gonna experience this, I promise you. That's the promise. So when it does happen, do the training. Get ahead of the game. You're gonna have a lot more fun. You're gonna enjoy it. You're gonna learn more about yourself, both light and dark, and it's super important for you to do that. For reasons that will become clear later, when you walk into that version of yourself, that you wanna be.

Okay, that's it. Love you. See you next week. (upbeat music) Oh, I got the gold on, I love you, I love you, I love you, I love you, I love you. When I first saw you, I wanted you to be mine, but I was too shy to say the thing, I knew to take time, and I finally got the love, just smile, then you gave me the word, it was so beautiful. I wanted the gold on, I love you, I love you, I love you, I love you, I love you, I love you.
