Okay, let's see if this works. I know the audio is like super quiet coming in 'cause I got this fucking mic set up and like cloud lift or amp isn't work. It's a whole fucking thing. Here's the welcome to synchronicity. How you doing? I hope this has been a pleasant pandemic week for you. I said I was gonna be doing episodes on Thursday and lo and behold, doing shit on Thursdays. We're gonna drop this bonus episode. I know this is what every person in the universe is doing who has any type of platform is they're putting shit out. So I figured, why not join the fucking club? Put out two things in the week.
We're used to this. Been doing this since July. Remember when I was putting out four to five episodes a week? That was fucking insane. So yes, we're here with another episode. I just wanted, it's gonna be a quick one for real. It's not gonna be one where I say it's quick and then it's 45 minutes long. This is a quick little pop-in to say, shit has been getting gnarly, right? And when I say gnarly, it can feel like everything is going wrong, right? People are being forced to deal with these energies that are kind of ramping up in their lives. It's hard to sometimes identify exactly why things are happening in our lives, but nevertheless they are.
So a thing happened to me today, I'm trying to sign this lease for a new place where I'm gonna be living in Ryan Cliff and I've been jumping through so many fucking hoops to get this thing done, how to go to the city, how to get to go to the bank a million different times and something else, it's always something. And on the way over to go do, I had another thing at a bank during a pandemic to get this stuff rectified. I was getting all ramped up. I was like, ugh, I'm getting so annoying. I was kind of envisioning scenarios where things were going wrong. And at a certain point, what kind of felt like a spiral downwards?
I just caught myself and I was like, holy shit, why don't you just imagine that things are gonna go well? And I didn't like specifically like, let me imagine the exact scene of this going perfectly. I just was like, let me catch the feeling of knowing this shit works out. Went and met the person was still kind of agitated, but I was very nice and polite. And this is something where like, I think this is really important 'cause there seemed to be a direct correlation between my ability to kind of laugh at the situation, stay cool with the people I was interacting with that really ended up turning everything around to me where not only did everything kind of work out, I actually got to go shopping.
I got to get a bread that I wanted. I like a baguettes. I like it a baguettes. Why am I saying baguette like it's Italian? That's wrong. Baguette. That's how you're supposed to say it. So it worked out perfectly for me, but I recognize that it probably would have worked out well, even if I had to take a few extra steps to get it done, like I'm resourceful, I would have figured it out. But because I kind of changed my mindset and was pleasant to everyone around me, it really flipped in this amazing way to the point, the best part of the day for me is I was in line at this place, the health food store, and there was a woman behind me and she sighed, and I turned and looked at her just pleasantly, and she was basically like, "Hey, I'm sorry, I'm having a bad day."
And I said, "What's going on?" And she's like, "Oh, you know, I snapped at someone earlier and I shouldn't have." I was like, "Listen, here's a deal. Don't judge yourself for it. It's not a big deal. You seem like the type of person intuitively who's just, you know, there's no reason to judge yourself." And her whole mood changed in literally two seconds. She just needed to hear. She started saying, "Oh, yeah, I shouldn't judge myself. There's no reason for that. I already did it, plus I apologize to the person. You know, I shouldn't." I was like, "Yeah, it's no big deal." And we got in a nice little conversation as I was checking out.
She's like, "I'm so happy I bumped into you today." And it reminded me that all of the things that happened after the fact that I can maintain kind of this positive vibe and this wonderful sense of like, "Hey, shit is okay. Shit is great even." Even when I felt like the temptation to get cranky and weird, that shit is super important because that's the mentality, that's the mindset, that's the state of consciousness. You really want to embody, especially in the face of uncertainty and change. And that's what a lot of people are facing right now. Now, again, to reiterate, I don't think this global pandemic thing is actually that big of a deal.
I know that can seem reckless and careless to people, but shit's gonna be all right. Take this opportunity to really go inside, discover who you are, make art, read about shit, research stuff, get in, you know, contact people, you know, record shit, do fun things. This is what this time is for. A lot of us have been prepping for our entire lives, using our Hermit-like tendency to get shit done. Just enjoy it is my advice. So there really isn't anything other than this episode, just when we pop in and say, "Listen, if shit feels like "if you wake up on the wrong side of the bed, "if circumstance is kind of externally look "like they're fucking your shit up, "know that that doesn't have to be the rest of your day.
"You can snap out of it at any time, "and I know that can feel even infuriating "if you're in the middle of some horrible shit. "But let this podcast be like a little interruption, "refocus yourself, recognize shit is going perfectly. "You really do have impeccable timing. "You really do have perfect. "You're fucking nailing this shit, like for real. "Like I can't tell you how well you're nailing it. "I wish you could know that fully, "but just trust me like you've laid out. "If you haven't incarnated in this time and place "and are listening to this podcast, "holy shit, you're fucking nailing it.
"So great job. "That's it, quick little hitter for this one. "I'm gonna be doing some podcast with Ryan, with Jessa, "with a lot of friends. "It's just gonna be fun time. "So stay tuned for that. "We'll be doing a lot of stuff on YouTube, on Instagram, "and where else do I do stuff? "I don't know. "Stay on the email list, all the stuff. "You know what it is. "I just wanna pop in. "Just again, if shit is going wrong, "staying wrong, everything's going wrong, "nothing is going wrong, why me? "Just snap out of it, pull out of it, "you're in charge of this show. "Just watch what happens if you can hold the vibe "for like five minutes.
"That's it, okay? "That's it. "Jesus Christ, what a fun episode, huh? "Okay, I'll see you in a few days. "I have some guest episodes of what they were recorded "before the world was on fire, "or at least visibly on fire, "so I'll put those out in some other places, "and we'll be doing some live ratings on Patreon, "and I'll do a public one hopefully by the end of the month "for everyone, so stay tuned. "Twitter, Instagram, all that places "where I usually post that shit. "Also music, I'm gonna release something "for the patrons in the next week. "Hold me to that patrons. "Gonna be a full single that's coming out.
"You've heard bits and pieces of it, "you'll hear the whole thing. "After that, in April, "almost likely release the stuff on the streaming site, "so if you want the digital copy of that, "and we'll do a little kind of release thing "over on the Patreon side, you can hear that, "and otherwise, you'll just hear it "on the streaming services and everywhere else it is. "So join the Patreon, rate and review this podcast. "I guess if I don't say that people don't do it, "I'll put a link into this one. "The reviews help, they help expand it. "Share the shit with friends and family "if it's helping you.
"God, I mean, you're gonna be stuck "with these people for the next two months, probably, "so you might as well. "And just have a good time, for real. "Just enjoy yourselves, for real. "It's really gonna be a nice time. "All right, I love you, happy imagining. "See you in a few days." (upbeat music) (upbeat music) Hey there, it's Wayfair here.
